Random Little Thoughts

This might be a bore to read, but I just had to document some of my thoughts. I was thinking about how much change Walker has brought in our lives - all good change and all very worth it, but thinking of my transition to life as a mother kind of made me laugh...

First and foremost - Do I really have to stop wearing maternity jeans? The elastic is awesome, especially as we enter the holiday season!

I have learned the art of multi-tasking - I can check email/blogs/FB, clean, do laundry, and cook at a record speed! I can even make pumpkin butter while giving Walker a bottle - it was safe I promise!!

Walker is usually bathed, fed, and dressed by 8:00am, I usually don't eat, bathe, or dress until...well let's just say later in the day, much later.

I no longer search for the 'top 20' on itunes, but instead I purchase lullabies.

I have gone from reading Something Borrowed and Something Blue to looking forward to our reading of Curious George (we're starting early with the reading around here).

I still can't sing along to some of my all-time favorite songs, but I can now sing all the words to most lullabies and nursery rhymes.

I no longer think about some of my favorite boutiques and designers - but I have children's brands and gear down! I will drop a good chunk of money (somewhat easily) on an outfit for Walker, knowing that he will wear it twice...but it is so cute and he deserves the best. Yet just the other day at WAL-MART, I spent a good 15 minutes contemplating if I should buy a $7 dollar top for myself!!! And I didn't!!!

And watch out Ben, change has occurred - someone else now has the remote and your chair:

  1. I had to giggle as I read these! Yes - change is the name of the game now and as you said, all worth it in the end! Great pictures and the little man is growing quickly!
