We have enjoyed this week! For starters, I was cancelled from work all night Monday (and then had a great night at work Tuesday), which gave me an extra night home with my boys and some extra sleep! I have a love/hate relationship with my job. I love being at the bedside as a mother/baby nurse - I love it even more now that I am a mommy. I can provide my patients with much more insight on care for themselves and their baby, breastfeeding education, and just little tips I've learned. Most importantly, I can sit down beside them and weep the same tears of frustration and tears of absolute love and joy...because I've been there! The downside is leaving this sight:
But on to other thoughts of this week! We enjoyed having my aunt Martha and uncle Bruce in town, along with uncle John! We spent alot of time at my grandmother's house - cleaning through old treasures (Walker scored an awesome wooden train set - thanks Nana!) and sharing stories. It is pure entertainment to listen to a bunch of siblings and my grandmother tell funny stories of their life growing up in different countries, tales of my grandfather and family road trips, and a hodge-podge of other memories! In addition to work and family time, I spent lots of time playing with Walker and going on walks in the mild weather. And speaking of weather! While it was in the mid 60s yesterday, today "they" are calling for snow/ice/sleet (aka - wet weather). My poor mother looks forward to some form of wintery precipiation each year. And each year she is let down. She wakes in the middle of the night, as children do, looking for the promised snow. And she is let down. My thoughts: Dear Mother Nature, please give my mom one good snow this year! Thanks so much!
Have a wonderful weekend! Stay tuned, we might have pictures of us frolicking in the snow!
You made the background blurry in the top pic! way to go Alice! You'll have to teach me your new tricks. It's already snowing alot here!
