Fall Fun in the Mountains!

We escaped to Blowing Rock for the night and it was wonderful, as always!  The leaves were turning and they were absolutely stunning!  We took long walks around Bass Lake and drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway to admire the leaves.

 Walker also enjoyed the leaves...
and nature in general.
The weather was spectacular - it was a little warmer than usual in the sunlight, but it was chilly in the morning/nights/shaded areas!  We bundled Walker up for an early morning walk.
We of course visited the park - spent a lot of time on the swings and even went down the slide a few times.
We practiced walking.  Walker took two steps on Thursday, but none since.  He loves walking and holding your hand, but drops down to a crawl when you let go!
We goofed off.
Yay!  He's a keeper :)

Other notables - Walker had pizza and cookies and cream ice cream for the first time during our mountain trip and he loved both!  He is "talking" a lot.  His words these days are car, dog, ba ba for bottle, and ball.  He loves to point and is still very active!  What a great weekend!
