What a special time of year - we can't wait for Walker to understand the true meaning of Christmas and just how special it is!
We had a very Merry Christmas Eve...both of our families gathered at our house for dinner. We were surrounded by family, a fire, great food, great conversations, placecards fingerpainted by sweet Walker, lots of smiles and merriment!
We woke up Christmas morning to see that Santa Claus stopped at our house! However, Ben received an unwanted "present" - the stomach bug. So sad and he was in the bed all day with the exception of gift opening first thing Christmas morning.
I felt bad leaving Ben in bed, but he felt crummy and needed to rest. After finding a gas station that was open, I stocked him up with sprite and saltines, and then Walker and I went on with the day's festivities.
Deda (which Walker has started calling my mom) and Pop were so excited to give Walker a car. He loved it! And they are looking forward to pushing him around the neighborhood in the new ride!
Walker and I picked up my grandmother and met up with family in Charlotte for Christmas dinner. We had a blast and were again surrounded by great food and family!
We were so thrilled to wake up to a healthy daddy and the most beautiful coating of snow!
So much snow! It was about 5" and Walker found it difficult to walk in...but he had fun!
We walked through the snow to see my parents and let Ben open presents.
Walker was a ham...full of the sillies!
Next, we headed to see Ben's family. We had a nice visit and Walker was the center of attention, as usual ;)
We made it back home to squeeze in a quick playdate with Charlie!
Whew! We have been busy! The Christmas season has been a wonderful one and we are so thankful.
Now, time to sit back and relax...
and cheer on the wolfpack!
