A Week in Alexandria!

Walker spent some time at the capitol trying to fix the debt, however he decided to take some time off and enjoy himself ;)

Walker and I just returned from an awesome week with our friends Meredith and Charlie!  I survived the road trip solo with a toddler (no, I don't have any stellar tips except "keep calm and carry on").

Walker and Charlie are best of buddies and played so well together...

At the DC zoo, we met up with our friend Meredith and her son, Parker!  It was so great to see Meredith and Parker!  The boys loved seeing all the exhibits and running through a water mister.

We were all fascinated by this beast of a gorilla!

Walker also made best of friends with the family dog, Finley.  We did not bring Finley home, but I think Walker would have loved that!

We spent one day in DC, walking and shopping, and ate lunch on the lawn of the National Mall.  The boys played hard and took time out to give hugs and kisses. 

There was more shopping, lots of talking and wine, good eats, wagon rides and play time in the beautiful cities of Alexandria and DC...it was a perfect week and we hope to get back soon!
