Busy as a {Mother-to-}Bee!

August has been very busy thus far...busy, but so much fun! I enjoyed wonderful baby showers the first two weekends of the month - pictures to come in a later post. We are so excited about the quickly approaching due date and meeting our baby! Ben and I are busy talking about being parents, what our little one will look like, and just how blessed we are. Preparing for baby is in full force (still a little over a month away)- many trips to Babies R Us, cleaning (though it is hard to bend over), and waking up to random thoughts of motherhood in the middle of the night (and trips to the bathroom).



We spent this weekend with a fun group of friends at the beach. It was such an enjoyable trip and we had a blast - these sweet friends even surprised us with little cupcakes and a champagne toast (well, sparking grape juice for me!). It was a couples trip, but the girls spent the weekend chatting about girly things and relaxing on the beach and the boys bonded over golf, boat rides, and cornhole. We all came together for meals (the boys needed the girls for this) and fun games. The boys were rather cute playing "Battle of the Sexes" and were so excited when they knew the answers about the opposite sex...maybe they listen and observe a little more than I thought! Thanks everyone for a fun-filled weekend! Hope this becomes an annual trip :)
