This weekend Ben and I celebrated my birthday - we had a delicious dinner on Friday night and then went to the Panther's game on Saturday night! We also slept in on Saturday(how many more times will we get to do that...), I went to the pool and read, and we both had some relaxing time! Ben had to finish up some chores and I didn't think it would be a good idea for me to get up on a ladder, so I opted out of helping with his chores - instead I did one more load of baby laundry!
Now a little more of an update... Pregnancy has been great - I love the little kicks, the sweet comments and gestures from strangers, the fact that there is a little life forming inside of me, the nesting, the thoughts of motherhood and life as a family of three, many stops at the ice cream shop, and so on... However, I am ready to meet this little one and begin our life together! I am a little tired of the back pain, always saying "is it hot in here, or is it just me?", the numerous trips to the bathroom during the night (actually all hours of the day - it is just worse getting up in the middle of the night), and so on...
I am 36 weeks (and some change) and on Friday I will be 37 weeks, which by definition is full term! I had an encouraging appointment last week and the doctor thought I would go into labor within the next 2 weeks (I'm sure they say this a lot, and I'm sure he saw the discomfort in me, but I am clinging to his words!). So after the appointment, I took one more trip to Babies R Us, picked up an ice cream cone (I might not be able to eat to many more of these without feeling guilty), and came home and packed our bags! And now, my mind wonders when the commotion will take place :) We will keep you posted!
