Walker and I headed to Raleigh on Thursday to begin a weekend of wedding festivities for my dear friend Anna and new husband, Tim. Can I just say that this was a wonderful weekend?! WOW! My sweet sissy let Walker and I crash her {very nicely decorated} apartment beginning on Thursday. We shopped and ate well. We then met up with Walker's other aunt, Rebecca, and listened to the Craig Woolard Band perform. It was a lot of fun!
Then came the celebrations for Anna and Tim. It was a blast! Anna and Tim are smitten with one another and I'm so honored that I was able to be stand by their sides as they said "I do". Anna was the most beautiful bride and Tim blushed and grinned as Anna walked down the aisle. I am not a teary person, but my eyes swelled with tears as Anna came down the aisle - I could not be happier for her! The reception was just as amazing as the wedding ceremony. I didn't have my camera {bummer that I forgot to take it to the church...} but I will be sure to post pictures once I find some! Congratulations and Best Wishes to Anna nd Tim! The one picture I did take was from the wedding day brunch...and it makes me laugh. Anna with Walker, Tim with Charlie...
On to Mother's Day! Which in my opinion, is everyday, because I am so blessed each day to have a wonderful mother and to be a wonderful mother to my son.
This is my favorite picture.
My mom is a great mom and puts me {and everyone else} first. She worries and gives constantly - is everyone safe? healthy? fed? clothed? happy? and I actually love that about her, because it is so nice that she looks out for my well-being! And she is the sweetest grandmother.
And my first Mother's Day. This picture was truely my first day as a mother...

I love being a mother. The fun days...the hard days...and each day in between. This is what I have always wanted and I am absolutely blessed.
