This little family of three escaped to Blowing Rock for a night and it was just what we needed. We packed a picnic and spent most of the day around Bass Lake. Walker loved playing in the grass {and with water bottles}, watching ducks, and hanging out as a family. We spent time on Main Street and let Walker swing - where we also heard the sweetest squeals of delight. Walker did great during meals out - letting mommy and daddy sip wine and enjoy absolutely amazing meals. When little one went down for the night, mommy and daddy enjoyed the rocking chairs on the balcony - reading and talking in the chilly night air that only the mountains can offer this time of year. Our first "get away" as a family of three was simply wonderful!
A quick dip in the pool before heading home - what a relaxing weekend!
