Going bananas!

Today began earlier than usual.  6:15 "Rowdy" started calling for me.  I politely ignored him, thinking that he would fall back asleep.  Nope.  So we were up, and up in full force.  Walker promptly began a game of chase, before I could even re-dress him after the morning diaper change.
Catch me if you can...
And he's off...
After chase he soon went down for a morning nap.  And I made spaghetti for dinner tonight.  And thought it would be a good idea to introduce Walker to spaghetti at lunch.  He liked it.  Until he began to throw it everywhere and laugh hysterically.
Nothing like a mid-day bath and a little duck to chew on...
And then it was chase again.  Seriously, Rowdy - mama can only play chase once when you give her the early wake up call.
And on to the benefit of an early wake up.  Banana muffins made with whole wheat for baby and mama to enjoy (with diet sundrop of course, that's my coffee)
Walker loves whole wheat blueberry pancakes, so I searched for another breakfast recipe, remembering in the past that I had whole wheat banana muffins that I loved.  I found some I liked on cooks.com and mixed several recipes to form ours.
Whole Wheat Banana Mini Muffins:
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups whole wheat flour (I used one cup whole wheat, 1 cup all purpose flour)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 ripe bananas (I used 4)
1 tsp vanilla
*I made one batch with walnuts for me and daddy, one without for the babe

Cream butter, sugar.  Add eggs and beat.  Sift flours/salt/baking soda.  Stir flour mixture into butter mixture.  Add mashed bananas and vanilla - stir together.
Bake at 400 for 10 mins (for mini muffins).
Enjoy!
