Really?! August, wow! I feel like June and July just flew by...and we have enjoyed every bit of this summer.
We have been to the beach...
the lake...
spent a lot of time on the swing...
played with friends...
and spent more time in the mountains...
We just got back from a quick night in Blowing Rock and it was great! The weather was a perfect escape from the heat - around 65! The fog was thick, but it didn't stop us from walking around the lake, shopping, and of course, a visit to the swings!
I must say, the picture below reminds me of Twilight...
...Back to reality...
What a fun time! Walker's little giggles filled the park!
Before we say good night...
About a year ago I (with a very big belly) carefully tied the knots in Walker's bumper, making sure it looked just right. Last week, my baby tried to climb out of the crib (luckily he didn't get very far!). So, tonight the bumpers came down. I've always thought that cribs with no bumpers were home to a toddler...our baby is growing up too fast! I'll admit that my eyes almost filled with tears at this sight - what a sweet baby boy.
