Smiley Face

Walker came home from school on Tuesday so excited to show me his first smiley face on his hand! He showed everyone we encountered and when daddy got home, Walker ran down to his car to show him the smiley face. Melt.My.Heart

And then I noticed how his hands look older.  Still very babyish - a little chubby, little "spots" where is knuckles should be prominent, but they just look older.  And then I became emotional - my baby will be 2 on Saturday.  I love what having a child has brought us - joy everyday, on the hardest days and on the happiest days, pure joy.  And each stage of having a child brings more joy and fun.  I love Walker's personality, his zeal, the way that every day he is talking more and figuring things out.  And there are the little things too...

I love his curls,

I love how he plays hard and is usually smiling or laughing,

how he loves "PB",

how he takes his "dog" everywhere,

how he loves his trucks, can identify them, and likes to line them up (Pop taught him how to line them up for work!)

I love that he loves to snack (just like his mommy - and don't worry, our snacks have gotten much healthier)

I love each morning that he gives me hugs and kisses, then quickly says "Eat"...sits at our bar and waits for me to serve him breakfast.  He loves muffins and milk.  Notice the bedhead and beloved blanket, "banks"

So here's to the little things I love, preparing for our baby turning 2, and smiley faces!
