Christmas with a toddler is absolutely joyful! We've had a blast expriencing the season with Walker as a toddler. He has been talking up a storm, laughing, pointing, smiling, pondering...he just can't get enough of all the excitement!
Walker loves the Christmas tree and we sit and talk about all the ornaments multiple times during the day. He insisted moving a chair closer to the tree so he could just sit and stare. He wakes up every morning and races to find Elf and to work with the advent calendar. He talks about baby Jesus. He loves looking at lights...we've gotten very use to our evening drives around the neighborhood. If Walker sees just one little light, he squeals with excitment, "lights lights". He likes decorating cookies and helping around the house. Walker does not like getting near a real Santa Claus, but loves looking from afar. There will be no picture on Santa's lap this year. Walker tells us he wants a firetruck and baboos (pacifiers - I talked about taking them away, but we're not...sigh...) for Christmas. He loves reading his Christmas books and singing Christmas songs. It is pure joy and he melts my heart over and over throughout the day!
We hope that the same merriment fills your home this holiday season!
